1. To test a new car, a Hank drove 460 miles and used 12.5 gallons of gas. How many miles per gallon did he get in this test drive, to the nearest tenth?
2. John can run 1 mile in about 6 minutes. Stan can run 1 mile in about 8 minutes. If both ladies run for 55 minutes, about how much farther will John run?
3. Solve: 9.00 - 2 * (0.32 + 5 * 0.15)
4. Kelly works at a toy store. The owner of the store bought 321 dolls for $3.78 each. Ashley estimated that the total cost for the dolls would be $1000. How does her estimate compare with the actual cost?
5. Mr. Crawford’s guests were assigned to rooms on the 5th floor. the first guest was assigned to room 520. the room numbers follow this pattern:
530, 537, 544, 551, 558,...
What will be the room number of the eleventh guest?
